Silver Crescent Studios represents Jackson and Ann D'Armond. Jackson is a self taught photographer and artist working in several media including photography, pencil, pen & ink and watercolor. He enjoys photographing subjects that are often overlooked in today's hurried pace of life, and tries give the viewer a sense of inner peace and tranquillity. Some of his favorite subjects are lighthouses, seascapes, the American Southwest, and old buildings.
Ann does all of his matting and framing, as well as organizes exhibitions and shows for their work. Their philosophy is to create artwork that will be enjoyed and to bring it to the market for a good value. "First of all the person has to like the image, and that image is enhanced by matting and framing. We don't try to match curtains, couches or carpeting, but strive to enhance the colors and feel of the image. Ann has a great eye for picking out the subtle tones of my photography or watercolors. She really completes the image that I started. Most of the work we sell is framed and ready to hang. Our clients know the value of a framed piece of work, and realize that her finishing of the artwork is first rate." - Jackson D'Armond They have been exhibiting since 1992. During this time, Jackson has won numerous awards including a "Best of Show". His work is hanging in private and corporate collections though out the U. S. and in Europe. When they are not working on their art they enjoy gardening and travel. They live in Chesapeake, Virginia with their two recently adopted basset hounds Boomer and Blackie.
